EMBLEM ARCHITECTURE make new buildings and refurbish old buildings, working with both private and commercial clients.

We treat each project as a unique venture, with all of our designs led by an RIBA Chartered Architect (Royal Institute of British Architects), through all work stages from conceptual design to project completion.

From the outset, we work collaboratively with our clients to fully understand their aspirations and requirements in order to produce distinctive, bespoke projects.

Design quality is helped by our close liaison with other disciplines in the project team and our recognition of their contribution to the design and implementation processes. In addition, we strive to optimise both the commercial and aesthetic aspects of all projects, with a strong emphasis placed on budget constraints, adding value through good design and sound detailing.

Typically, our approach is to maximize the use of space and natural light to create appropriate and considered environments of enduring design quality within the context of the current planning frameworks.

The practice has considerable experience working on listed buildings balancing conservation requirements with the practicalities of bringing new uses and servicing to historical properties. In conjunction, we also provide an advice service to clients regarding the thermal upgrade of (their) existing properties, using both modern external insulated cladding systems and the more traditional construction methods.

Recent projects include the designing and managing of individual family homes, mixed-use schemes (residential and commercial/retail), school and community buildings, healthcare and leisure projects.
